10 ways to be HEALTHIER without even trying!

Looking to get healthier but overwhelmed with the long list of things you need to do? Why not start out small with this list of 10 things to do to be healthier without even trying. I bet you already do some of these things without even realizing!
Stock up on frozen fruits and veggies to have on hand when you need them. ----- Frozen fruit is really good for in your smoothies, your oatmeal, and use as ice in your water! The frozen veggies can be cooked up for an easy side dish or used for a quick stir fry!

NETFLIX! I found when I was at the gym if I turned one of my favorite shows while on the treadmill I would rock out an hour without even knowing it! Netflix not your thing? Get your favorite book on audio and listen to a couple chapters!
Eat from smaller plates to help manage your portion sizes. I remember as a kid one of my parents telling me and my brothers about this and as a kid I did what all kids did I chalked it up to “They were bullshitting me” BUT once I became an adult and started watching how much I ate I started to read up on this “fact” my parent once told me and what do you know, some research suggests that you will have an easier time with portion control when you eat from a smaller plate. ----- Because when you have a small portion on a big plate, you feel like your depriving yourself! BUT when that same portion takes up a lot of prime real estate on a smaller plate your mind will think it’s getting more!

Food prep is your friend! Prep a box of easy to grab and go snacks on Sunday so you will have something easy and healthy to grab when you’re feeling a little peckish! ---- Just make sure you don’t forget to grab some snacks when you leave the house! Snacking on healthy things throughout the day will help you keep your energy up and from overeating!
Make the slow cooker your best friend! There is nothing better than coming home from a hard day’s work to have dinner all ready for you! ---- Plus if it’s already ready there is less of a chance you will be calling for take-out or whipping up and unhealthy meal! WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE! Staying hydrated throughout the days is a key part of staying healthy & losing weight! So grab your water bottle filler up and take it everywhere with you! ----Half your body weight in oz.… drink now DRINK!

PROTIEN! Eating some protein within 30 minutes of your workout will help your body start the healing process and to build your muscles back up from the workout you just had. ---- And muscle is the key to increasing your metabolism! So grab some Greek yogurt or a hard-boiled egg or 2 and get your snack on!
Set out your workout gear the night before so when you get up its right in front of you so you have one less excuse to not get your workout on! I started doing this and 8 times out of 10 I would get up and workout. --- Since I had my workout clothes on why not right?
Set an alarm and hour before you want to go to bed, by doing this it will be in the back of your mind that it’s time for bed soon and to finish up what needs to be done now rather than right before bed. --- Getting a good night’s sleep is one of the most important things you can do for your health! So take that hour when your alarm goes off to clear your head and get ready for some much needed sleep! *** And don’t forget to put your phone on airplane mode so you’re not woken by all the many sounds of your phone!

UNWIND take a few minutes at the end of each day to unwind from the craziness of life! Stress can wreak havoc on your health, so it’s important to do what you can to limit your stress and find ways to relax. --- Yoga does wonders for stress just sayin ;)
